“I believe every city-and every girl-deserves the opportunity to thrive.” – That belief has shaped both Eve’s career and purpose.
Eve Irene Muriithi is a Registered Physical Planner and the Deputy Director of Physical Planning for Kakuma Municipality in Turkana County, Kenya. Every day, she works to create inclusive, resilient, and sustainable communities through strategic urban planning, land governance, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Her journey has been driven by an unwavering commitment to learning and growth. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the Technical University of Kenya, a Master’s degree in Urban Management from the University of Nairobi, and a Professional Diploma in Urban Development from Africa Urban Lab. Alongside her professional practice, she also enjoys teaching and sharing knowledge, believing that learning is most meaningful when it empowers others.
Mentorship is one of the ways she chooses to make a lasting impact. Through Dada STEM, she hopes to encourage young women to believe in themselves, embrace challenges, and pursue opportunities with confidence. She is passionate about helping girls discover their voice, develop their potential, and understand that leadership is not defined by where you come from, but by the courage to keep growing and to uplift others along the way.
She aspires to leave behind more than well-planned cities. She hopes to leave behind empowered young women who know they belong in every room they choose to enter.
