Physical Planner

Prudence Chebet is a Physical Planner working with the county government of Uasin Gishu, where she is actively involved in spatial planning, organizing the physical infrastructure and its functions to ensure orderly and effective siting of land uses, with an aim of achieving optimum levels of land utilization in a sustainable manner. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Design and Development from the Technical University of Kenya and has quickly risen in her field working on projects such as preparing the Uasin Gishu County Physical and Land Use Plan (2025-2035), a strategic framework to guide the physical, social and economic development of the county while promoting sustainable use of land and environmental management. Prudence combines her expertise in Urban Planning and Design with digital design and spatial analysis using industry-standard software such as ArcGIS, ArchiCAD, and Adobe Creative Suites to create well-planned and functional communities. Her goal is to contribute to smarter, liveable and more resilient cities by delivering actionable mapping and urban design solutions that support informed decision-making for governments, organizations, and communities.
