Rachel Munyifwa, a policy analyst at KIPPRA Kenya, describes herself as a self-motivated woman who believes in self-improvement in all regards.
Like many other aspirational women, Rachel has had an impressive career trajectory. Before working for KIPPRA Kenya, she enjoyed stints with the State Department of Economic Planning Kenya, Ministry of Defence Kenya, National Youth Council Kenya, Mboga2You, Village Enterprise, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kenya, VCA Animal Hospitals, and New York Minute Magazine where she served varying roles in different capacities. As a team player and solution provider, she has excelled in all these positions and served as an inspiration to many other STEM-oriented ladies.
Rachel’s educational journey is also one for the books. She started her journey at Santa Monica College, where she pursued studies in Business Administration before moving on to the University of California Riverside for a Bachelors in Economics and Administrative Studies. Her latest academic accomplishment is an MBA from George Fox University. Even with all these studies in her resume, Rachel believes in pursuing knowledge in a world full of immense information and advanced technologies and is always keen on understanding the world around her.
When Rachel is not uncovering new tid bits, she helps out in the community. Her community work dates back to book fairs as an undergraduate and organizing activities in the Black Student Union at the University of California. She currently serves as a mentor in the STEM Dadas program and has guided other young women in their STEM careers.
